Volunteer Main Page

Because of people like you and hundreds of others, Hills Alive is an opportunity to be part of a life changing experience for thousands of people. The festivals success is the result of each volunteer taking responsibility for a share of the work that needs to be done. We need your help! There are many areas to serve and get involved in. You may choose to work one or two shifts or some may choose to schedule vacation days to enable them to be a part of the Hills Alive team for the entire festival. We hope you will prayerfully consider this exciting way to serve the Lord and His people.

A few reminders:

  • You should enter into this commitment with a spirit of giving ... serve so that others may receive.
  • You will work at least one three-hour shift for either one or two days. Some positions require a longer commitment time.
  • You should agree to do your very best and commit yourself to giving your best to the glory of God, be conscientious and focused on your task and represent the festival in a professional, courteous, and loving manner.
  • You should treat all festival attendees with kindness while displaying a loving Christian attitude. The attitude of the Staff is extremely important. Remember that you are representing Hills Alive and the Lord.
  • You will not use illegal drugs or consume alcoholic beverages at any time at Hills Alive.
  • You will be responsible to your immediate Department Leader and Assistant Leader in your area of service, and the Festival Coordinators. It is very important that all Volunteer Staff follow the directions of those in charge. All decisions are made by the Leadership and Festival Coordinators. Ultimately, we are all responsible to the Lord.

Alter Workers Training

Both Saturday and Sunday July 19th and 20th Hills Alive will be presenting the Gospel with an evangelist and giving people and opportunity to receiving Christ as their personal savior.. Because of the gifted evangelists Sean Dunn and Greg Laurie and the very powerful and compelling presentations of the Gospel that they will deliver we believe that a large number, probably in the hundreds will respond to the invitation. Because of this we are in need of as many trained alter workers as possible at Hills Alive. The commitment of time will include attending a training session for alter workers being conducted by a Harvest Crusade team member, and being available for about an hour each evening of Hills Alive at about 8:00pm. This is an incredible opportunity for your church to be involved in Hills Alive and in the lives of new believers.

There will be 3 choices for trainings. Thursday night July 17th at 6:30 PM at Calvary Chapel 320 East St Patrick St. in Rapid City, also each day of Hills Alive in Memorial park at 12 noon at the Prayer Tent. Please call KSLT and ask for Jennifer if you plan on attending one of these training times. 605-342-6822.
